ZANCANER: since 1955 in response to the needs of automation in textiles and manufacturing

The origin of the company dates back to 1955 when Giovanni Zancaner set up “Officine Meccaniche Zancaner”, a mechanical construction individual firm, with customers from the textile industry of the region.

In the 1960s a ring gluing and paper band stamping equipment for wool-balls was patented. This machine, unique in the world in that period, was very successful.

In the 1970s a yarn reel wrapping machine was developed with a patented system which is still up-to-date and used (though adjusted and adapted over the years).

Later on, in the 1980s, when the children of the founder joined the company, several machines were developed, once again intended for the textile industry, such as conditioners, labelling machines, cartooning machines, palletizers.

In the mid-1990s the company moved into larger facilities, situated in the industrial district of Roccapietra in Varallo Sesia, thus continuing the traditional production intended for the spinning market and establishing relations with important automation system integrators to supply both complete plants and plant portions.

In 2006 the company turned into a Limited Liability company.

Reference Sectors

Constant adjustment of design and production is required in order to continuously diversify product types and, as a consequence, meet customers’ needs.

ZANCANER turned this need into its objective and this was made possible by the extreme versatility in applying not only automations which are based on standard machine models, but also in designing ever new systems able to satisfy customers’ specific requirements.

At present, ZANCANER is a well-established company mainly working in two key sectors: the textile industry and the logistics & warehousing industry.
