Vision systems

For years ZANCANER has been integrating artificial vision systems that enable production associated devices to enjoy maximum flexibility. The pieces to be handled which are randomly placed such as when on a conveyor belt, are identified by the vision system that recognizes the model stored in memory and communicates its picking coordinates to the handling tool. The vision system also checks whether it is really possible to pick up the piece by verifying that the position of the grip can be accessed.

The piece can be recognised through either its shape or other characteristics, such as stamping, colours, etc.
Models can be programmed by machine operators using simple, user-friendly software.

Tolerance controls on mechanical pieces can be made using vision systems. When checking a mechanical piece, a 50x50 mm area can be locked into for looking for the presence of all the mechanical processes as well as the size with a precision up to +o- 0.05 mm using a standard product.

Using vision systems for control purposes, production quality standards are increased. The pieces are checked one by one and the pieces which are not compliant are signalled to the operator, eliminated or sent to a special station where they are submitted to manual checking.
Controls can be made looking simultaneously for many details on the same piece or on different pieces which are managed simply through appropriate communication with the handling device.

Control systems can also be included in high speed production lines (bottling lines, food packaging, etc.) up to 6,000 pieces per minute.

There are no limits to vision system applications, from recognition tasks to quality control, using LED lighting or infrared ray systems.
